Students coming from outside Switzerland to make studies in Geneva are held to organize their documents to make the request of the Student Permit "B" to the Swiss Authorities.
You have to present certain documents and information to the Office Cantonal de la Population du Canton de Genève (OCP) to have your student situation legally approved (some of those documents are provided by the school). Bellow there is a list of documents provided by the school : (You have to put them together with the other documents requested by OCP). 1. SCHOOL CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE 2. WEEKLY TIMETABLE (TOTAL NUMBER OF HOURS) 3. DAILY STUDIES TIMETABLE 4. FULL DESCRIPTION OF PROGRAM STAGES (TOPICS) 5. TOTAL DURATION OF STUDIES --- Bellow there is a list of documents and information requested by the OCP : (Attention ! You should verify this list as it can change at any time. You can verify by using the links below, in point #2). 1. FULFILLED CURRICULUM VITAE (personal information) 2. FULFILLED FORMS
3. FINANCIAL SUPPORTS (proofs included) 4. INTENTIONS AT THE END OF THE STUDIES 5. FURTHER USEFULNESS OF THE STUDIES 6. WRITTEN COMITTMENT TO LEAVE SWITZERLAND 7. PHOTOCOPY OF PASSPORT & 2 PHOTOGRAPHS Presentation of above mentioned documents and informations does not figure any determination about the final decision, which will be taken by the authority. This authority freely agrees to grant or not the requested authorization; there is no influence acting on this decision, despite any steps the applicant has taken (apartment rent for example).
